Are Coachella and Stagecoach 2020 Cancelled?

Federal Health Officials and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention are warning that life in the United States may be interrupted. Cities across California including San Francisco and Orange Country both submitted States of Emergency on February 26, 2020 due to the Coronavirus. In the United States, the death has risen to 9 with all of the individuals being from Washington State. The WHO has suggested that the mortality rate is around 3.4% worldwide.

Many people are suggesting that to decrease the rate of spreading they are going to cancel events where a high number of people are confined to one space. The Centers for Disaese Control and Prevention said that once it hits pandemic level, our everyday life could be interrrupted.

The Festivals-Coachella and Stagecoach bring a worldwide audience to see the amazing talent. With flight restrictions and fear in the population, this might have an effect on whether or not the festival continues. The alternative is the risk of the expected turn out of people going to the festival being severely less than anticipated.

In due time, we will see if these amazing festivals continue even with the risk of the spread of coronavirus. The repercussions of both options may be detrimental, whether detrimental to society or to music goers everywhere we will have to wait to see.
