Botox is a safe procedure when done by an experienced professional, like himself. Depending on your specific anatomy, some patients may experience bruising, swelling, or sensitivity at the injection site 1-3 days following the procedure. Dr. Dugar works with great patience and precision when administering botox injections, lessening the risk of these side effects. Additionally, ice is administered to the injection sites immediately to reduce any possible swelling or bruising.
Certain upkeep and maintenance of facial botox is necessary for safe and effective results. This includes not taking any blood-thinning medications or consuming alcohol before the botox procedure. This will ensure less likelihood of both bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Additionally, you should not lie down for at least three hours after your botox procedure in order to assure adequate blood flow to the injection sites. Another protocol to ensure safe and effective results is to not go in hot showers, saunas, or yoga for at least a day following the injection.
