The Virtual Consultation

Every patient begins with a virtual consultation conducted personally by Dr. Dugar over Zoom. A guided photo template is sent in advance so the consultation can begin with the patient's anatomy already in view.

During the consultation, Dr. Dugar studies the proportion of the nose and examines its angles. Based on the patient's goals and anatomy, he demonstrates a digital morph created specifically for that face, walks the patient through the proposed surgical plan in full, and shows before-and-after results from patients whose anatomy resembled the patient's own. The intent of the consultation is straightforward: no patient leaves uncertain of what is being proposed or why.

Coordination and Preparation

Following the virtual consultation, patients are introduced to the atelier's concierge, who manages every detail of the experience outside the operating room. Scheduling, pre-operative preparation, medical clearance, travel logistics, hotel recommendations, and private recovery arrangements are all handled inside the atelier. The concierge stays in close contact through the week leading up to surgery, so the patient arrives calm and fully prepared.

In the days before surgery, the concierge confirms each appointment, coordinates with the operating team on the patient's medical history and answers any logistical question that has come up since the consultation. International patients are supported across time zones; calls are scheduled at hours that are reasonable on both ends of the journey.

Arrival in Beverly Hills

On arrival in Los Angeles, the patient's pre-operative appointment is scheduled either the day before surgery or the morning of, depending on the patient's preference and itinerary. The pre-op appointment confirms the surgical plan one final time, reviews medication and dietary instructions, and introduces the patient to the operating team.

The night before surgery, the anesthesiologist who has performed surgery alongside Dr. Dugar for years calls the patient personally. On the morning of surgery, the patient is admitted by the atelier's nurses, meets the anesthesiologist in person, and sees Dr. Dugar one final time before beginning. The surgery typically takes one to two hours. The patient wakes in a private, on-floor recovery suite with a small cast protecting the nose and is taken home or to their hotel in the care of a companion when ready.

Recovery and the Return Home

In the days that follow, most patients are comfortable returning home approximately eight days after surgery, following cast removal. The patient is medically cleared to fly home by the atelier and continues care virtually thereafter. The first post-operative virtual follow-up takes place once the patient is back home, with subsequent virtual check-ins scheduled as healing progresses. Distance never means a lapse in care. For patients who prefer additional support during the recovery week, the concierge can arrange private recovery nursing, including twenty-four-hour care for the first forty-eight hours after surgery, in a hotel suite or a private residence. These arrangements are coordinated entirely by the atelier.
